The Paul Weber Scholarship is given in honor and memory of Dr. Paul Weber who joined the Georgia Tech faculty in 1927. During his years at Tech, he served as Professor and Director of the School of Chemical Engineering, Dean of Faculties, Vice President for Planning, and for more than 18 months in 1956-57, he was acting President. He was President of the Atlanta Chapter of GSPE and Chairman of the Georgia Section of the American Chemical Society. The Paul Weber Scholarship Fund was started in 1977 with funds contributed by several of his friends and former students. Later, Dr. Weber made a substantial addition to the Fund from his personal savings, prior to his death in 1983.
