Students Need Your Help to Fuel the Future

GEF is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
Your Donations are tax deductible.

Financial support of the Georgia Engineering Foundation empowers students to pursue their passions and helps reduce the burden of the ever growing cost of higher education. Your support secures the future of engineering.

You don’t have to be a Georgia Engineering Foundation organization member to sponsor a scholarship or make a donation. Private Companies, Non-GEF Member organizations or individuals can all sponsor scholarships or make a donation.

Below is a brief description of the four ways you can help fund GEF’s efforts. For more information on any of these, contact to Anita Atkinson GEF President.

Fund an Annual Scholarship

You can make a one-time donation to fund a scholarship annually for an academic year. You can define the criteria for the annual scholarship and choose each year, whether you can/want to fund the scholarship that academic year or fund on a “give until gone” basis.

CREATE AN ENDOWMENT FUND

With a larger donation ($50K or greater), an endowment scholarship can be created. GEF will professionally manage the endowment funds to ensure that the scholarship is awarded in perpetuity while protecting the endowment principal. Scholarships would continue to be awarded per the scholarship criteria established by the donor.

Donate to GEF General Fund

A donation to the GEF General Fund is used to support GEF’s routine expenses. In 2019, 95% of income was either directly distributed as scholarships or retained to build the foundation endowment.

Establish an Estate Donation

Make provisions in your estate to make a donation to GEF. Per above, these donations can be in the form of a “Give until Gone” Annual Scholarship, to Establish an Endowment or as a donation to the GEF general fund.
