American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) represents close to 145,000 members of the civil engineering profession worldwid and is American’s oldest national engineering society. Founded in 1852, ASCE strongly supports the proactive inclusion of talented civil engineers from diverse backgrounds and values their unique contributions, skill sets and broad professional experiences. In addition, ASCE’s pre-college outreach programs provide engaging, hands on introductions to civil engineering for age groups ranging from preschool to high school. These collaborative efforts advance national science, technology, engineering and mathematics standards.
