Brad Blackmon (brad.blackmon@gcpsk12.org)

In a formal letter of acknowledgement, I would like to proclaim the high character of Alejandro Garcia. I was honored to have Alejandro in my AP United States History Class during his eleventh grade year. Alejandro was a student that was always willing to put the work in to be the best in class. He is a very studious and respectful student who always strives to be at the top of the class. Alejandro likes the discussion process in class where he can make a comment and ask questions. Any institution would benefit from his involvement and dedication. Alejandro worked diligently in and out of class to be ready for the AP Curriculum. He is a student that performs at his best in every situation whether it is writing an essay or a formal assessment. I would like to offer this high praise with the hopes of his acceptance into your academic institution. Alejandro is a positive light at Mountain View and wants to succeed but also enjoys seeing others succeed. He is a student that I have the utmost respect for because he enjoys all of his classes and helps others. He has set a great example to follow at Mountain View. Alejandro has met every educational challenge with diligence and determination. He shows that he is leader among his peers as well as an example of high moral character. He is involved in numerous clubs and extracurricular activities at Mountain View High School. Alejandro is a member of the Student Council Senate. He represents the student body to be an active part in the school and community by raising funds for charity organizations; such as Bert’s Big Adventure. He is a section leader in the Marching Band at Mountain View. He shows his leadership ability by organizing the sheet music and keeping the band members organized during their performance and practices. In the community, he works with a program called Mending the Gap. The organization bridges the gap between the elderly and students in high school. In addition, he volunteers at his local church to organize the food pantry to help meet the needs of people in need. In addition, he is a member of the Student Leadership team to help the underclassman to become leaders in the school and community. Alejandro is a well-rounded student at Mountain View by being an excellent student but also a great example of how to be involved in the community to make Mountain View an excellent school and community. Alejandro would make any institution of higher learning a better place because he would be great academically but also would make the community in an out of the University better. If you have any questions about Alejandro that I could help clarify, please do not hesitate to ask. I place him in the top tier of students I have taught due to his hard work and determination. Sincerely, Brad Blackmon Mountain View HS Social Studies Department brad.blackmon@gcpsk12.org
