Adam Wineland (adwine@uga.edu)

September 25, 2020 To Whom it May Concern, I am writing this reference at the request of Caroline Hartner, who is applying for a scholarship with the Georgia Engineering Foundation. Caroline is currently studying Engineering Graphics and Design (ENGR 1120) under my instruction and is performing exceptionally well. Even during the pandemic, Caroline is attending every class, participating in all assignments, and fully comprehending the material and concepts. That is, she is quickly becoming familiar with AutoCAD and gaining proficiency in interpreting and creating engineering layouts, schematics, solid models, and working drawings. Additionally, Caroline has prior experience with Fusion 360, and after viewing her models, I find her aptitude appears promising. Caroline is an excellent student with admirable work ethic. Caroline independently approaches problems from every angle and asks for assistance only after exhausting all ideas. In addition to working well individually, Caroline makes every effort to share her proficiency with classmates. Caroline is highly motivated, dependable, willing to help others, and eager to learn and apply new skills. Caroline’s performance in my class makes her an excellent candidate for the scholarship. Sincerely, Adam Wineland Lecturer The University of Georgia College of Engineering School of Environmental, Civil, Agricultural & Mechanical Engineering Driftmier Engineering Center 597 DW Brooks Drive The University of Georgia Athens, GA 30602 adwine@uga.edu www.engineering.uga.edu
