I have known Jordan as a student now for three years. I can genuinely say that I have seen her grow in many positive ways, and I have seen an increase in self confidence in her over these past three years. Jordan became a student that I enjoyed seeing every day. She was in me Latin class for two years. Jordan has become a student with the ability to monitor herself during class work- an ability I would not say many people have. She is driven to perform in class. She was very involved after school in Latin Club, Science Club, Math Club, and her many roles in theater productions. Jordan would always complete assignments and take them to the next level. Whenever Jordan completed class work, she asked questions and showed processing skills that truly showed that she was engaged. She always tries to excel no matter what. Jordan was in our honor society FLAIR. FLAIR is our foreign language society that was founded in cooperation between the schools of Richmond County and Augusta University. It gives the students a chance to work with college students and other foreign language students within the county. Jordan has been a member of this society for two years now. She received a Gold medal on the National Latin Exam two years in a row. She was also a member of the National Latin Honor Society. Jordan managed to balance her heavy academic course load with her passion for theater and student government. She helped organize trips and run meetings for performances. The drama group takes many trips and is pulled for performances often. Jordan managed to not only keep up with her school work, but she out performed those who were present. She was an active member of High School Student Council and always lent a helping hand. She balanced her school work, after school events and rehearsal- all while holding a job. She often tries to encourage others around her to be more mature, and to handle themselves in an appropriate manner. She is friendly and kind, but is still a strong leader. I am truly glad that I had the honor to teach her for two years. She is the kind of student who is grateful for knowledge, and makes you feel good to be a teacher. I highly recommend her for any program that she chooses to pursue, and she is deserving of any opportunities given to her. I believe she will make the best out of anything given to her.
