To Whom It May Concern, I am a Georgia certified English teacher for grades 7-12 who has known Hannah since she was born. I have had a bird's eye view of her love and talent for anything science because I live across the street from her. She is comfortable in her own skin, something I have been able to observe from my front porch. But, I want to focus on the time since March when we went into lockdown. After a trip to the library, Hannah emerged from the car with 4 or 5 books on electrical engineering. (I teased her by asking her if this was a little light reading.) During the same period, she asked if I had any old computers or phones she could have. As I handed over a cache of laptops and cell phones, I asked what she was planning to do with them. She told me she just wanted to take them apart and put them back together again. When she had nothing to do one day she built something using arduino; I just shook my head as if I understood what she was talking about. But, it's this last piece of information that shows her enormous potential in her field; she explained that it's okay that her school is learning virtually because face to face or online, if she doesn't understand something, she goes onto the internet and teaches it to herself. She doesn't freak out if she doesn't understand something and she isn't the least bit arrogant when she masters something, either. Hannah simply possesses an objective mindset that tells her there is a logical way to figure out whatever it is she is working on. I find her maturity remarkable, but she is also inventive. She explained to me that whether she is working the cash register at work or watching people struggle to get a canoe out of the water that she is always thinking of an easier way to get a job done. I know she will make great contributions to our world, and I can't wait to see what awesome accomplishments she will achieve. Please feel free to contact me by email at stellagordon835@gmail.com or by phone at (678) 592-3155. Sincerely, Stella Gordon
