Susanne A. Crowe 100 Trident Trail Loganville, GA 30052 September 21, 2020 To Whom It May Concern: It is an honor to write this recommendation for Lorrell Curcio. I have known Lorrell for the past four years. She was a student at Loganville High School, where I am a media specialist. I knew Lorrell well through her frequent visits to the Media Center, and I was blessed to have her as an office aide. Lorrell is a hard-working, smart, kind, and caring person. Lorrell was a wonderful student, and she excelled academically while at LHS. Lorrell took numerous advanced and AP courses at Loganville High School. I looked back at her transcript from last year, and she was #4 in her class of 365 students with an amazing grade point average of 101. Very impressive! She also had perfect attendance all four years at LHS. Teachers loved Lorrell-- you can ask any faculty member who knew her, and they will speak very highly of her. While maintaining her excellent grade point average, Lorrell participated in numerous clubs and extracurricular activities at LHS. She was an active member of the Student Government Association all four years in high school. Lorrell stayed after school many hours to work on SGA projects. She was definitely a leader in the organization. Lorrell was also a four-year member of the Beta Club and was selected for the National Honor Society when she was a junior. While in Beta Club, she accumulated over 100 volunteer hours. Lorrell has a generous heart. What sets Lorrell apart from a lot of students her age is her personality. She is always upbeat, never complains, and strives to do her best at everything. When you see Lorrell, she always has a smile on her face. She juggled her challenging academic classes, worked weekends at a grocery store, maintained her excellent grade point average, and was one of the first people to volunteer to help you. Lorrell helped us in the Media Center for years with all of our reading promotion displays. She stayed many hours and days helping design and produce those bulletin boards and displays. I got to know Lorrell even better last year--she was chosen to be an office aide, and we were fortunate enough to have her in the Media Center. Every day she would come in at the beginning of the class period ready to do whatever was asked of her and then some. Her attitude was always positive, and we looked forward to seeing her come through our doors. In conclusion, I highly recommend Lorrell for the Georgia Engineering Foundation Scholarship. She would be an excellent recipient because of her exceptional individual qualities. I would love to talk to you more about Lorrell. I can be reached at 678-684-2883. Thanks for considering Lorrell for your scholarship. Sincerely, Susanne A. Crowe, Ed.S. Media Specialist Loganville High School
