I taught Uddhav in AP Physics C last year. Uddhav is intelligent, driven, and responsible. The fact that Uddhav took AP Physics C speaks to his character and his desire to challenge himself. It was very important to him to take the more advanced class. Uddhav has the work ethic and study skills to be successful in college. He studies the topics we are covering and comes to class with background knowledge and thoughtful questions. His lab work was always thorough, neat, well organized, and insightful. Many students shut down when something is difficult, but Uddhav showed real perseverance. Uddhav’s sense of personal responsibility for his education and his preparedness are a wonderful example for all my students. Besides excelling in his class work, Uddhav often came to me to discuss something he has read about modern physics, and last fall he joined Physics Team Olympiad / Modern Physics Club which I sponsor. I am very impressed with Uddhav’s interest in physics and the resilience he showed in my class. While taking a challenging class schedule, he had also shown that he can balance his course work with other school and community responsibilities. He was the top trumpet player in both the performance band and the jazz band at our school. Marching Band consistently require commitment, time, and hard work. Also, he has been doing Boy Scouts for more than four years. Recently, he earned the “Eagle Scout” rank, which is the highest rank one can achieve in Boy Scouts of America. His various positions in Boy Scouts has helped him improve his leadership, planning, and communication skills. Uddhav is very passionate about Computer Science. He taught himself Python programming language before he took computer science classes in school and start competing in Georgia Student Technology Competitions. Uddhav has incredible potential. He truly loves to learn and takes great pride in mastering complicated material. He uses his time wisely and prioritizes well. He always has a positive attitude and never says no to a challenge. I am proud to recommend him.
