October 11, 2023 To Whom It May Concern: It is my pleasure to recommend David DosSantos to be the recipient of your scholarship. He is a quick-witted, polite young man who made quite an impression during his enrollment in my Honors Pre-Calculus class. As a thirty-three-year veteran in the teaching profession, I admire his ebullience in all endeavors in which he undertakes. I consider David an exceptional student who will benefit immensely from the financial assistance your scholarship offers. In the classroom, David is a self-disciplined, determined student who works diligently to master the task at hand. He accepts academic challenges without hesitation and thrives on academic risks. His quest for rigor is evidenced by his enrollment in Honors-level and Advanced Placement courses. David maintained honor roll status throughout high school and boasted a 96.159 GPA. Such dedication to success in high school has certainly prepared him for the next level of his education. During his tenure at CCHS, when not in an academic setting at school, David continued to excel. He was a vital member of the CCHS Packer Robotics Team (which placed first in region competition and second at the state level). He was also an active member of TSA. David’s charismatic personality earned him a lead role in the 2023 CCHS Musical; he played an awesome “Lurch” in the Addams Family. He also participated in the Chick-fil-a Leader Academy; an organization whose membership is by invitation only and works to build leadership skills and promote community service. Outside of the school setting, David stays busy with service to his church. He is the worship leader, the youth leader, and teacher of the youth Sunday school class. He is a talented musician who plans to continue working for the Lord as a musician. David is a well-deserving student of any accolades afforded him. He is a phenomenal young man who is revered by the faculty as well as his peers. Trustworthy and sincere, David is one of the most-well rounded students I’ve ever had the pleasure to teach. I recommend David DosSantos without qualification; he is truly the best candidate for your scholarship. Sincerely, Tammy S. Maxwell Mathematics Instructor
