October 16, 2023 To Whom It May Concern, I am writing on behalf of William Miller, and his pursuit of financial assistance throughout college. William is a very well-rounded individual from being his involvement in athletics in high school to being a leader in the National FFA Organization, and he is a member of the Shotgun Team and a participant on the Literary Team. His strong parental support from his dad being a farmer and his mother being an elementary school teacher gives him the structure and discipline and appreciation of many areas in order to be successful in all facets of life. Will was always very well liked and respected by his teachers and by his peers while in high school which demonstrates the respect Will has earned by everyone. If you can find Will away from the school or away from his family farm, you will see him volunteering at the Canning Plant, coaching youth baseball, working at voting polls, helping with Relief Organizations with his church or assisting kids at a local school Field Day. Will’s quiet demeanor does not detract from the strong leadership presence he exudes when one meets him. He has participated in numerous leadership trainings from locally to statewide. While in high school, he has been recognized as an Athletic Scholar each year at SCHS. He also received the highest average award for both accelerated tracks in Science and Math courses each year at SCHS. He received the FFA Highest Average in 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grades. He won the Georgia Certificate of Merit and the HOPE scholarship along with the Zell Miller Scholarship. Lastly, he won the Rural and Small Town Recognition Award along with being the recipient of the STAR student award. We, at SCHS, are very proud of Will Miller and all of his accomplishments. Though no matter what Will gives his time to, he always goes back to his roots and his passion; agriculture. He truly cares about how agriculture operates, and he wants to make the process better. His love for agriculture is almost a reverence that is very recognizable by all who know him. Receiving your scholarship would be something Will would be proud and honored to have in order to assist him in his pursuit of accomplishing his educational dreams. Accomplishing those dreams would open doors for him in the areas he wants to pursue after college with business and farming. Thank you for considering such a deserving student. Sincerely, Shane Purdy, Principal, Seminole County High School
