Trenton Schirmer (trenton.schirmer@uga.edu)

To whom it may concern, I have had Caden Taylor as a student since the beginning of this Fall 2023 semester, in one of my sections of MATH 1113, PreCalculus. I've been at UGA since Fall 2016 and Precalculus remains a class of notorious difficulty, more difficult than Calculus I. Despite having Caden as a student for only a short time so far, it is very clear that he will be very successful. Caden transferred into the course several days after the semester began and I am glad he did. He was very proactive about getting himself caught up on all of the work he had missed, and his mentality is well suited to success as a student. He is friendly, very likable, sober, disciplined participatory in class, and always in a good mood. We haven't had our first exam yet so I'm not sure where everyone stands, but based on the quizzes and homework we have done so far I expect he will be among the highest scoring students on our exams. I very highly recommend him for the scholarship, the money will certainly be well spent on him. I am certain of his success and he is exactly the kind of well-deserving student of ability that should get a scholarship. Thank you, Trenton Schirmer
