In regards to Ella Neal. I have had the pleasure to know Ella Neal for the last 15 years as her pastor, a mentor and as a personal friend to her and her family. I have watched her grow from a young child into the hard working and extremely intelligent young women she is today. Ella was one of my most trusted helpers and leaders in our youth program. She was always willing to serve, asked great questions. She was a constant source of help and could figure out and do things that most youth were not capable or even willing to do. She also served our church and community going on mission trips, serving food to the homeless and helping raise money for the Salvation Army by ringing the bell each holiday season. Ella was also my key leader for our mission trips to South Dakota to serve on the Pine Ridge Reservations. Even though she was "just a youth", Ella was my trusted right hand and was critical to the organization and planning of that trip. Ella did all of this while working a part time job and was in the top ten students of her high school. To say she is an exceptional student, leader and person would be a gross understandment of her character and abilities. She has the integrity and compassion of someone way beyond her years.
