September 12, 2022 To Whom It May Concern This letter of recommendation is one for Ashton Wiley, a 2022 Summa Cum Laude high school graduate. Because of his commitment to academics, his extracurricular involvement, and his desire to succeed beyond the secondary level, Mr.Wiley, a joy to teach and to know, is an outstanding student. Ashton Wiley is very conscientious about his academics. He studies and works diligently to meet the objectives of the tasks assigned to him. Often, he exceeds the expectations and the standards of a task, performing at the exemplary level. A gifted student, he has been a Summa Cum Laude Scholar (2021), a Silver American Literature Award Scholar (2021), A Mercer Pharmacy Summer Scholar (2020), and a Cum Laude Scholar (2019). A dual enrolled college student, he also completed honors and AP courses. He was also a Governor’s Honors Nominee in Science. He does not settle for mediocrity, yet he truly proves my class motto, “If Better is Possible, Good is not Enough.” As his high school career, particularly his senior year, embraced the goal to “Begin with the End in Mind,” Ashton Wiley is a goal-oriented young man. He continuously sets goals and then works with dedication and determination until these goals are reached. He consistently focuses on his plan to become an engineer. Ashton Wiley expresses himself well in verbal and written communication. He articulates his thoughts and ideas bringing insight to class discussions and other forums. He is a positive voice and role model among his peers setting an example for them to follow. Ashton Wiley is a well-balanced and resourceful student. He maintained his grades with an A average while devoting his time to his organizations and activities in high school. He was a member of the Senior Beta Club Member, HOSA, the Math Team, and the Polymer Club. Through these memberships and other efforts, he participated in the HOSA Thanksgiving Can-A-Thon, the Beta Club Toys and Coat Drives, the Operation Christmas Child, the Hurricane Relief Collection, and the Stuff Bus Collection. In each of these drives, he helped to lead the organizations to reach their goal to serve the community, particularly those in need. He also worked a part-time job, where he is consumer-driven, team-oriented, and very personable. Moreover, Ashton Wiley, upholding the traits he displayed on the secondary level, continues to show great promise of succeeding as a postsecondary student. His natural abilities combined with his work ethic and his desire to evolve academically and socially will contribute to his development and achievement on the collegiate level. Ashton Wiley is the epitome of an ideal student and young man destined to be a 21st Century leader. I recommend him wholeheartedly for any accolades that may come his way.
