When I first met him, he was courteous and wanted help on understanding some of the homework. One of the rare students who actually attempted everything ahead of time! He earned an impressive final average of 98.73% in calculus II, exceeding his older classmates with both his work ethic and tenacity to excel. Van remained fully engaged in his learning and completed all assignments on time. He demonstrates the discipline and tenacity to learn independently and succeed in very rigorous academic settings. Recently, he typed up a remarkable solution to a problem from class that he shared with other students to help them in their own comprehension of the content.
