I am the band director at North Oconee High School where she has been a member since the ninth grade. Lena has been a part of the marching band and the symphonic band. She has served as a section leader for the Titan Regiment Marching Band for the past two years. This is a leadership position for which she had to apply, interview, and was voted on by her peers. She has proved to be a great leader within our group. She has taken on a lot of extra responsibility this year and has led at a very high level. Lena has always shown great work ethic and dedication to the band program. She is a great student and a pleasure to teach. Lena is also an excellent academic student. She has earned all A’s in high school, taken nine AP classes, taken dual enrollment classes, and is an Oconee scholar. Lena is also involved in other activities at school. She is a member of the National Honor Society, Beta club, Science club, and humane society club. She also serves as an officer in science club and humane society club. Outside of school, she is involved in girl scouts and is training to be a camp counselor. She is also a part of girls build which focuses on getting girls involved in computer science, and helping middle school students in this area. Lena is very well rounded and has had success in many areas. I believe she will have success in anything she chooses to do. I highly recommend Lena Konzelman.
