September 8, 2021 Eastridge Church 863 Hwy. 142 Covington, GA 30014 To Whom It May Concern, I have served in family ministry at Eastridge Church for the past 15 years. As a Christian educator, my interactions with Van have been extremely positive, so I am pleased to be able to write this letter as a way of helping him advance his goals and dreams. Van sticks out as one of my favorite students. I’ve worked with hundreds of kids and do not make this statement lightly. I first mentored Van when he was a student in elementary school. I was thrilled to continue this mentorship when he was in middle and high school and decided to lead worship on Sunday mornings for our younger kids. For several years, Van also served as a worship leader during vacation Bible school. Van is a very dependable young man. While serving as a worship leader, he was eager to lead others. He practiced how he would introduce worship songs and memory verses. I always looked forward to him serving because I knew worship was going to be led with excellence. He always showed up with a huge smile on his face, ready to serve humbly. Van’s signature smile is something that people love about him. Van is not only dependable but also very smart. In all honesty, he is one of the smartest students I have worked with. The refreshing part of this interaction is his humble and loving spirit. He is not prideful. Van loves to serve others. It is just a remarkable blend of being “book smart” and “people smart.” What a winning combination! I have enjoyed watching Van grow into a fine young man who loves music, his studies, and his family. He is a hard worker and will be an asset to any organization.
