Diane King (performnutrition@bellsouth.net)

It is my honor to write this letter for Julian Bolinas. My name is Diane King. I work for Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Sports Medicine and serve as the athletic trainer for South Forsyth High School in Cumming GA. Julian was a student athlete at South Forsyth. Over the course of his 4- year time at South, he sustained several injuries. While season ending one year, he never lost touch of his goal which was to play high school football. We spent a lot of time together during his rehabs. And like everyone who gets down from time to time when they are missing the sport they love, Julian always remained steadfast in his goals to return to the football field. He is a committed young man. He worked hard in school. He had good leadership qualities and his peers appreciated that. He was not a loud person but he led by example. He was never intimidated by speaking to the coaches and he represented his team well. He finished out his senior year and his track and field season with a torn labrum and a PR in his throwing events. He never gave up. He set a goal and worked each day to reach that goal. I say this because I know he will do the same as he continues his education and his goal to be in engineering. Julian is an excellent example of setting goals and having them pay off in a big way. His tenacity in school will continue to lead him to great things and I can't think of anyone more deserving of consideration for this scholarship. Thank you for the opportunity to share with you how much I appreciate this young man.
