KENNETH G. TAYLOR, P.E. SCHOLARSHIP

Mr. Kenneth G. Taylor, P.E. was a Civil Engineering graduate of the University of Rhode Island. He was a Past President and Life Member of the Georgia Engineering Foundation. Ken was a retired Director and Past President of Simons-Eastern Consultants, Inc. and is known internationally for his work in the pulp and paper industry. During WW II, he served as a Captain in the Corps of Engineers, constructing airfields in the Pacific Theater.  Mr. Taylor was active in GSPE and NSPE, having served as President of the DeKaIb Chapter, GSPE State President and on numerous GSPE and NSPE committees. Among the several awards during his career, Ken received the GEF Medal of Honor in 1988 for exemplary service to his profession and community. He was extensively involved for many years with Georgia Tech’s Pulp and Paper Multi-Disciplinary Engineering Program and Foundation, as well as serving on the Georgia Tech Research Corporation Board of Trustees.
