To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to give my highest recommendation of Kimani Coates. I interacted with him during the SMASH Rising program in which he was a summer intern at Zymergen (a bio-manufacturing company). I was incredibly impressed by his work ethic and professionalism. Not only did he and his cohort members onboard within a week, he also had working prototypes and wireframes to present to the software team and end users in record time. These wireframes helped to improve the Quality Control scores plan within our biology departments. Not only was I impressed by his digestion of information in a new space, but I was especially impressed with his ability to speak up and ask good questions. Of all his cohort members, Kimani was the most vocal and active in seeking understanding which really set him apart from the group. I believe that Kimani will be an incredible asset to Georgia Tech and the Georgia Engineering Foundation. I happily and enthusiastically give Kimani my praise and highest recommendation. Thank you, Rachel Miller
