Donald Keen (donald_keen@dekalbschoolsga.org)

Dear Georgia Engineering Foundation Scholarship Committee, I had the pleasure of teaching Alton Mamaghani in Finance, Marketing, and Entrepreneurship over the course of his 11th and 12th grade years in high school. Alton’s GPA and AP course load speak for themselves, but the two things that I love the most about Alton are his creativity and his maturity. Alton puts his heart into everything he does, always thinking critically about his end goal and seeking out creative solutions. I remember Alton not only for the great questions he asks, but also for the quality of his work. For our capstone project, Alton made a lasting impression with his final pitch to our guest judges. For their “brand extension”, his group brought to life the idea of Levis camping gear in a way that was equally memorable and impressive. Whether it was the small business he ran throughout high school or a group project, Alton always put his heart into everything he does. Alton is creative, mature beyond his years, and has an incredible curiosity for learning. He has continually demonstrated these qualities to me over the two years I have known him, and I often hear the same words used to describe him around the community. I highly recommend Alton for your Georgia Engineering Foundation Scholarship. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions at donald_keen@dekalbschoolsga.org. Sincerely, Donald Keen Teacher, Dunwoody High School
