Scholarship Applications are due August 29, 2008. Awards range from $1,000 to $5,000
For over 30 years, the Georgia Engineering Foundation has sponsored a program that awards college scholarships to worthy Georgia students who are preparing for a career in engineering or engineering technology. Since 1985, over 600 students have been awarded scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $5,000. In 2008 about 40 awards will be made available.
All scholarships are competitively awarded based on the studentís demonstrated competence in mathematics, science and communication skills, the studentís interest in a career in engineering, financial need, and their school and community involvement. To apply, a student must be: 1) a U. S. Citizen; 2) a resident of Georgia; and 3) enrolled in an engineering or engineering technology ABET-accredited program leading to a B.S. degree. Applicants include incoming college freshmen, as well as upperclassmen.
